REBAIN HISTORY
Rotterdam Calling
Rebain International (NL) BV was founded in October 2003 in Rotterdam. Its establishment allowed Rene van Baardewijk, one of our founders, the opportunity to involve his sister Monique Buchbot and his father Jan van Baardewijk as senior advisors to develop a more robust export port for developing business in Central and Eastern Europe. To this day, the port city of Rotterdam was and remains a strategic location for an exporter/importer of chemicals.
Jan van Baardewijk is the founder of DCT (Dutch Chemicals Trading), a well-known chemical distributor in the 1980s and 90s. The new Dutch office experienced significant growth in a short time and became a trusted chemicals supplier active in Latin America, Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia.
Rebain NL plays the role of a chemical distributor, solvent supplier, and chemical trader specializing in Glycols, Hydrocarbons, Ketones, Acetates, Alcohols, Acrylates, and Monomers.

2019 marked a period of transition as Elijan Buchbot and Rick Kok joined Rebain International (NL) BV's management.
With this development, the proud tradition of being a family business remained intact. Elijan and Rick, who have been integral parts of our team since 2013, have consistently demonstrated their ability to lead Rebain NL to new heights. With these two on board, we are confident that our team can tackle tomorrow’s challenges and embrace new opportunities and changes.
